A glance at Nirvaan's History

Nirvaan (ultimate bliss) is a small step towards making people self-sufficient, by providing support to budding entrepreneurs and encouraging practicable business plans.

Nirvaan goes beyond the B-Plans by offering incubation to the winners, which makes it distinct. Nirvaan has also become the forum for participants to interact closely with India's top entrepreneurs, to showcase their business ideas and to get feedback. The talks and interactive sessions by entrepreneurs also help the participants to understand entrepreneurship.

Nirvaan has had representatives from Venture Capitalist firms as well as teams of investors.

Nirvaan has been growing year after year. In 2005, Nirvaan was held as a stand-alone event, in October. It witnessed the cream of India's new entrepreneurs who chose to leave comfortable job-cushions, to contribute to society and make a difference. Visitors included Sanjeev Bikhchandani, CEO and Co-founder, Naukri.com, Alok Mittal, Vice Chairman and Co-Founder, Jobsahead.com, Vishnu Dusad, MD, and Founder of Nucleus Software Exports, Sanjay Bhargava , an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad and a successful business architect for financial services.
The most notable feature of this event was that, the winner of the event, Prakash Mundhara started his firm ' Sacred Moments' with a product called 'Blessingz', a puja-kit, with the incubation provided by IIML and saw sales to the tune of 34 lacs in less than 6 months.
